Financial Aid & Scholarships

There are 4 types of Financial Aid you can receive to help you pay for college.

  • Scholarships
    • Need based or merit based, or a combination of both
    • Come from a variety of sources: Schools & school donors / supporters, community organizations / associations, non-profits, corporations, and more.
    • Requirements / qualifications are determined by the funding organization or entity.
    • Do not have to be paid back
    • You may/may not have to reapply annually to renew while in school.
  • Grants
    • Do not have to be paid back.
    • You typically do have to renew annually.
  • Loans
    • Must be paid back
  • Work study
    • Jobs on campus where part/all of the pay goes towards expenses
